At the beginning of our history, in 1905, ICN was created under the aegis of the University of Lorraine and the CCI 54. It was then known as the Institut Commercial de Nancy.

In 2003, we took a major step forward by becoming ICN Business School, a private higher education establishment recognised by the State and closely associated with the University of Lorraine.

In 1999, together with the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Nancy and the École des Mines de Nancy, we created the Alliance Artem, an initiative to promote transdisciplinarity in student learning. This approach is at the origin of the innovative pedagogy: #ATM (Art Technology and Management).

ICN is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles and holds some of the most prestigious international accreditations, including the triple crown of AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, which places it in the top 1% of management schools in the world.

In addition, thanks to its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, ICN has been awarded the DD&RS label.

This year, 2025, ICN celebrates its 120th anniversary! More than an anniversary, it's an opportunity to celebrate 120 years of academic excellence, educational innovation and openness to the world. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Executive MBA, the 25th anniversary of the Artem Alliance, the 35th anniversary of the Bachelor's degree and the launch of the new International BBA, all symbols of ICN's dynamism and forward-looking ambition.
